Guarapari Winter Festival: what to expect from each night

Guarapari has no real winter — sunny days and cooler nights, but Downtown tends to empty out once peak summer passes. The 2026 Guarapari Winter Festival flips that for ten days: from July 17 to 26, Avenida Joaquim da Silva Lima hosts free programming with four national acts split across two weekends — 14 Bis, Luciana Mello, Fat Family, and Thiago Martins. Each night has a different feel, and that matters as much as the date when deciding when to stay in Perocão.

Opening night: 14 Bis kicks off the festival on July 17

The festival opens on a Friday with 14 Bis, a Brasília-based band with more than four decades on Brazil's rock scene. The show tends to draw a crowd that grew up on the band's 1980s and '90s hits — arena-show energy in an open, free public-square format. It's the most nostalgic night on the bill, built for singing along start to finish.

Second night: Luciana Mello, between soul and MPB

On Saturday, July 18, Luciana Mello takes the stage — a singer with a career spanning MPB and soul, also known for coaching on Brazilian televised singing competitions. The show tends to balance strong vocal delivery with a set list ranging across Brazilian classics and covers — a more intimate night than the opener, even on a street stage.

Each festival night runs at a different temperature — and that matters as much as the date when deciding when to travel.

Closing weekend: Fat Family and Thiago Martins

National programming resumes a week later, on the second weekend. On Friday, July 24, it's Fat Family's turn — a group from Bahia built on danceable pop rooted in Black Brazilian music, a set list made for a crowd on its feet, singing along. The following day, July 25, actor and singer Thiago Martins closes out the national lineup with a pagode and samba set, a more romantic, circle-style format.

Which night fits your trip

  1. Nostalgia and arena-show energy — 14 Bis, Friday, July 17, opening night.
  2. A more vocal, intimate show — Luciana Mello, Saturday, July 18.
  3. Energy and a dancing crowd — Fat Family, Friday, July 24.
  4. A couple's trip, samba-circle mood — Thiago Martins, Saturday, July 25.
  5. Both full weekends without staying all ten days — book July 17-19 or July 24-26.

Where to stay without giving up quiet

The festival takes place on Avenida Joaquim da Silva Lima, in Downtown Guarapari. The Perocão Cabanas — Cavalo Marinho and Ouriço do Mar — sit in the city's north zone, about 8 km and a 10-15 minute drive from the stage, away from the crowd along the central waterfront during the festival. After the show, the return is to an address with ocean views and a private leisure area — a soaking tub and a ground-fire grill — real rest before the next night's lineup.

A base to catch all four shows without giving up quiet

Two ocean-view cabanas in Perocão, 10-15 minutes from Downtown Guarapari. Self-check-in until 10pm and human support in Portuguese, English, and Spanish.
